Map and Directions to West Wales

Coming to west Wales is easy. The roads are good and there is not as much traffic as in other parts of the country.

From the south of England, south-west and east of England: The most direct route is to follow the M4 motorway, which was built to link the Teifi Valley with the Thames Valley. Take the M4 heading west from London via toll bridge over the River Severn to just past Swansea where it becomes the A48. Carmarthen is 32 miles further west from Swansea.
From Carmarthen take the A40 west for St Clears, Haverfordwest and Fishguard; follow the A484 north for Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan; and take the A40 east for Llandeilo and Llandovery.
From the Midlands, the north of England and Scotland
Come via the M56 from Liverpool and the Midlands. Then you can either carry on by motorway or take the scenic route along Wales’ beautiful coastal road on the A487.
Crossing to west Wales from Ireland: There are many travel options nearby - a ferry from Pembroke Dock or Fishguard, both of which are located in the county of Pembrokeshire. Irish Ferries, the service provider for Pembroke Dock or Stenaline, the service provider for Fishguard; crosses from Rosslare, Ireland.
